what it is: tabangao's entry to the Shell-Tube Video Making Contest for the SGBP (Shell General Business Principles) Week
stars: kuya rico, biskwit mamaw, gingging, ningning, shell employee 1 (aka harvard dude) and shell employee 2.
collaborators: 18 refinery staff composed mostly of bachelors.
production cost: PhP 573.00
awards won: grand prize, people's choice award
total winnings: PhP 60,000

it all started as an idea. a "what if" posed in an email exchange. stip worked on the script, and everything else just fell into place. well, the whole thing wasn't exactly a breeze. on the night of the shoot itself, which started at around 7PM, we had to shoot some scenes up to 8 times. hey in a production where at least 10 people are involved, mistakes are bound to happen. by 1230 AM, we were ready to cut each other's throats.
it was a painstaking process of making the puppets, shooting the scenes, rehearsing the lines and puppet movements, dubbing the voices and the music, and editing the video. and we only had 4 nights to do it.
to cut the story short, our entry won, despite the dirt-cheap production and the inferior equipment we used.
i guess the best thing about being a tabangao bachelor is you get to do at least one thing for the first time year in and year out.
