the funny thing about our democracy is:
we decry graft and corruption in government,
but we don't hesitate to offer a bribe to evade a traffic ticket.
you can be a drop-out and still be elected to become legislator,
but you need to have a law degree to interpret the law.
we have entertainers who become politicians,
and we have politicians who act like clowns.
there is a gray area between politics and showbusiness.
in the Philippines, we call it Congress.
